We kicked off the evening on a poignant note with a talk from Tristan Cork, founder of Finnbar's Force. Tristan shared the moving story behind the charity, created in memory of his son Finnbar, who tragically passed away from a brain tumour in August 2016. There wasn't a person in the room who wasn't deeply touched by their mission to support children and families affected by childhood cancer, setting a passionate, inspiring tone for the rest of the night.
Driven by Tristan's story, everyone rallied together to raise as much as possible!
Alongside raffle ticket sales, our energetic hosts, Angie Atkinson and Graham Moss, got the whole room on their feet for a lively game of Heads or Tails.
Teams put their brains to the test across six competitive rounds:
- Guess the Year
- Know Your Nor-ledge (a local favorite!)
- Sport
- Film & TV
- Food & Drink
- History
- Music
...plus a fun picture round to keep everyone guessing at their tables!
Guests refueled with a delicious pizza and brownie buffet while making sure to grab those last-minute raffle tickets before the big draw!
Once the final quiz sheets were handed in and the points were being tallied, Graham stepped up into auctioneer mode to bid off some incredible prizes, including:
- Wine tasting & tour for 4 people + a bottle of wine kindly donated by Flint Vineyard
- 2 Ball voucher kindly donated by Eaton Golf Club
- Lewis Hamilton Lego Helmet kindly donated by Comm-tech Voice & Data
- Brown Fairfax & Favor bag kindly donated by Fairfax & Favor
Raffle tickets in hand, guests eagerly waited as winning numbers were called left, right, and center! We want to express our gratitude to all the donors who contributed to our raffle. Your support played a massive role in reaching our fundraising goal.
