HR Advisor (Maternity Cover)

Location: Norfolk
Contract: 8-month initial contract (with potential for extension)

The Organisation:
A prestigious and highly-regarded educational institution, known for its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development, is seeking a proactive and coordinated HR Director to cover maternity leave. This role is initially set for 8 months but may be extended based on organisational needs.

The Role:
The HR Director will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the HR functions of the institution. Reporting directly to the headteacher and collaborating closely with other staff members, the HR Director will ensure the seamless execution of HR casework and routine procedures. This role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively communicate, organise, and build strong relationships within the educational community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Casework Management: Oversee and manage HR casework, ensuring all issues are handled efficiently and in accordance with legal and organisational policies.
  • Routine HR Procedures: Execute routine HR procedures, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary HR point of contact for the headteacher and other employees, facilitating clear and effective communication across the organisation.
  • HR Software Utilisation: Leverage HR software to streamline processes, maintain accurate records, and generate insightful reports for management.
  • Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with staff at all levels, creating a supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • Employee Support: Offer support and advice to employees on HR-related matters, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
