Job Description

Atkinson Moss are delighted to be working with a successful and growing business in their search for a Commercial Director, responsible for managing the performance of the Sales Team, Strategically Developing and Motivating the team to ensure targets are achieved whilst boosting morale and retention.

 

The successful candidate will work alongside the Managing Director and executive team, developing, presenting and implementing key sales strategies and action plans.  Creating and building relationships with current and potential clients with a view to hitting and exceeding sales team targets.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring marketing activity and lead generation align with strategic goals
  • Presenting company vision, ethics & values to external and internal clients
  • Relationship building at all levels
  • Weekly updates to the executive team reporting against targets and providing forecasts
  • Annual budget responsibility for sales team including revenue, profitability and expenditure
  • Direct line management of the sales team including the following:
    • Weekly meetings
    • 1-2-1 support as required
    • Annual leave
    • Training
    • Performance reviews
    • Recruitment
  • Mentoring the sales team, ensuring individual and team targets are met
  • Quarterly reporting to the board of directors

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a people focused sales director who is driven and experienced in motivating the team to perform and in-turn contributing towards and achieving increased revenue.

 

The successful candidate:

  • Experience in a Sales and Leadership role is essential and experience within the Audio Visual Industry is preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience within a similar role and in-depth market knowledge of commercial realities, best practice and a proven track record in developing teams and delivering sales success.
  • An excellent negotiator with outstanding written and verbal skills with proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Process driven leader who is results-orientated, quality and business profit focused.

 

This is a full-time permanent position offering a salary of £65,000 (£15,000 OTE and car allowance).  Office based working with flexible start and finish times.
